Video of Joan Thomson in a live painting session in N. Ireland, telling the story of Mary of Bethany lavishly pouring out her expensive perfume in response to Jesus’ lavish forgiveness. She encourages Christian artists to use their gifts lavishly for God’s glory and not hold back.
Live painting with storytelling was also one of the successful initiatives Joan used to tell her audiences of pilgrims on the Camino de Santiago about the lavish forgiveness of Jesus on the recent outreach. Retelling the old story in this innovative way sparked interest in people from all over the world. Pray that this colourful seed would be etched into their memories, and in their time of need, spur them to seek our Lord.
At another event on the Camino, the Lord had prepared the heart of a women who had strayed from him. When she saw Joan painting "The Prodigal Son," she knew it wasn’t a coincidence that she was there--that God did indeed want her back.
