Kill The Calf

This toe tapping and moving retelling of the well-known parable story in Luke's Gospel (15:11-31) instantly draws the listener into the scene, through its Middle-Eastern sounds and dance rhythms.

Our songwriter says, this is "one of six songs I wrote to tell the Prodigal Son story. I wanted a tune that would be easy to arrange in a Turkish style, but also have people humming the last line 'What was lost, has been found' as they left our concerts. We changed the Turkish name of the song to 'Let the feast begin', since 'Kill The Calf' sounds pretty weird in Turkish!".
