Prophetic Art Workshops in Portugal

*** This event has passed. Please contact Joan Thomson at joan.thomson@wec-uk.org , if you would like to consult with her on any art ministry matters. ***

-----------------------------------------------------------

Do you long to glorify God with visual art, painting what he shows you, to bless people? In this prophetic art workshop, artists at any level will learn that God values artists and creativity, and hear faith-building testimonies of God using prophetic art to encourage and heal. Participants will seek the Lord for images to paint, then paint them–first for classmates then for people they haven't met. Participants will ask God which of the people they encounter in a local public space, their paintings/drawings are for, offering the picture to that person along with prayer then return for sharing of testimonies of God's goodness.

Joan Thomson of ARTS RELEASE, WEC International, and Laura Palmer of St. George's Church, Leeds will present a workshop and outreach in prophetic art.

Joan has come from the United States after twenty years in art ministry to join with ARTS RELEASE in encouraging Christian visual artists to use their art to the glory of God–in worship and in reaching others with the good news of the Kingdom of God. Joan's art website: joancthomsonart.com

Laura studied textile design at Leeds College of Art, as an intern at St. George's has led many evangelistic "Treasure Hunts" and is developing ways to use her art for God's glory. She will be joining on the ARTS RELEASE outreach to Portugal this June.
